Work Health & Safety Policy
N.F Corbett Pty Ltd Work Health and Safety Policy is based on the assumption that the wellbeing of people employed to carry out our work, or people affected by our work, is our major priority and must be considered diligently both when planning works and during all works performed on our behalf. NF Corbett Senior Management recognise that they are ultimately accountable for all responsibilities described in the Safety Management System and responsible for allocating the resources necessary to maintain it, to support the intended outcomes of eliminating hazards and reducing WH+S risks and committed to providing the leadership to achieve this goal.
People are our most important asset and their health and safety is our greatest responsibility. The public shall be given equal priority to that of our employees.
The objectives of our Health and Safety Policy are:
- To achieve an accident and injury free workplace by eliminating hazards and reducing risks.
- To make health and safety an integral part of every managerial and supervisory position following principles of best practice.
- To ensure health and safety is considered in all planning and work activities.
- To involve our employees in the decision making processes through regular communication, participation, consultation and training.
- To provide a continuous program of education and learning to ensure that our employees work in the safest possible manner.
- To identify and control all potential hazards in the workplace through hazard identification and risk analysis.
- To ensure all potential accident/incidents are controlled and prevented.
- To promote a culture of commitment to continuous improvement across the organisation.
The success of our health and safety management is dependent on:
- Ensuring that at all times, our employees, subcontractors and other persons under our direction and control comply with all relevant Legislation, Codes of Practice and Australian Standards when at work.
- Ensuring proactive planning of all work activities with due consideration given to implementing Work Health and Safety controls that are suitable to each situation.
- Understanding the total work process and associated Work Health and Safety risks.
- Ensuring measurable objectives and targets are established to ensure continuous improvement aimed at the elimination of work related injury and illness and that the work team is totally committed to achieving our objectives
- Ensuring that open and honest communication exists between management and all employees.
